Mom's Christmas Surprise.

My Christmas Gift this year was the best anyone could ask for. My beloved cat King Nike died in Oct. even after two months have pasted I still missed him terribly. Quintin decided to start looking for a Red Maine Coon Cat about 3 weeks before Christmas and wasn't having much luck. In his efforts he had to tell me. We found a kitten in Utah it was 3 weeks old. He can't be shipped until he is 9 weeks old. I believe he will be flown in at the end of Jan. LaRae name him Nike anytime she sees an orange cat she calls it Nike. We change it to Sir Niky spelled it with a y. I got the best Christmas gift ever from the most wonderful Husband and Kids..... Here are the pics I have from the breeder of my fluff ball .

Christmas morning 2010

We had a very quiet Christmas this year. We didn't go anywhere. It was nice to stay in. The kids open their present and got to play most of the day. We had a simple dinner, played  games, watch movies and put together LaRae's new toys. It was so nice to spend time with the kids.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Our little Christmas tree.

Christmas morning in their new PJ's.

LaRae had no trouble with presents.

McKayla got just what she want too.

My Christmas Morning Fruit Bowl

I made a huge fruit bowl for Christmas morning breakfast. It had 8 different layers of fruit watermellow, honeydew, grapes, mango, kiwi, strawberries, bananas, blackberries, red raspberries, and blueberries. I was surprised that all the fruit was riped like summer grown. It tasted so good.

Christmas Eve 2010

The kids get new PJ's every Christmas Eve. LaRae this year made getting my picture a little hard then any other year.

Quintin's Christmas School Program

This was Quintin's school Christmas for the 4th and 5th grade.

Cowgirl in the making

She loves her rocking horse.

Finally all the old archieve posting are here.

I finally did it all the old posting are here. It took a while but I got it done. The order is a little out of date. I am not redoing at this time. It's all here with pictures and that's all I care about. Now I just have to delete it from Miracles on Madison Street and the process will be complete. My goal was by the 1st of the year and I just about made it. One of my project completed 100 more to go. Happy New Year everyone.

No News is Good News but I have New News

We went to Quintin's Aunt Peggy's house for Thanksgiving. We had a busy Thanksgiving week-end. I baked tons of cookies and believe it or not I still have most of them left. I baked three pies. That is the mosted I have baked in five years and it felt good.

LaRae, Adrian and I left earlier on Friday morning to head to DuPont for pre-Admission testing for LaRae MRI. Then we stop and saw Adrian's Aunt Bev & Uncle Reggie, Uncle Brian, Sister Alex and Cousin Reggie and Reggie's two kids. Oh, I can't forget Buggies. The white bull dog. I am not sure if LaRae liked him or not. He was sure cute. Adrian had a good time. I am not sure if his uncle like his football game being turned off to play video games. I don't believe that will happen again. Adrian got a chance to talk to his sister.

Saturday we had friends over and just relax, which isn't something we don't get to do every often. It was well over do. Good food, good friends, and lots of laughs is just what the doctor order.

Quintin spent a lot of his spare time trying to fix our stoves. He did get one of them fix so that was good.
That is what has been going on in the Lawley house. Until next time. God Bless All.

Our new blog

I decided to separate LaRae medical Journey from our Family news. So we now have two blogs that everyone can follow. Some people think I am nuts for this and maybe I am. So many people are looking at LaRae's blog because of the Athrogryposis I decided that I need to separate the two. So, if you what to know what is going on medically with LaRae you will have to check Miracles on Madison Street and if you want to know what is going with the family you will have to check Lawley Family blog. I am not sure how often I will post. My goal is to update once a month from now on.

Adrian and Q birthdays

Going to the Beach!

We finally made it to the beach. We stayed at Quintin’s cousin camper. We had a great time. Quintin and the boys went canoeing in the river. Quintin end up doing all the work. They had a lot of fun doing it. The kids spent most of the time in the pool. Adrian loved that cousin Kevin had a bike he could ride. I think that bike saw more miles in 5 days then it had in a few years. Q borrows the neighbor’s bike so that kept the both of them busy. McKayla spent a lot of time making friends. Every time we turn around, she had new one and bring them back to the camper.

We did make it the beach on late Friday. The surf was ruff. I did not realize how hard it was going to be keeping an eye on 4 kids. LaRae did not like the water. She thought eating the sand was great. Quintin was teaching the boys how to snorkeling. McKayla played with LaRae in the water trying to get her to like it. However, McKayla’s efforts did not pay off LaRae was having it. She just cried the whole time.

Our vacation always has to have some excitement in then. McKayla got hurt the morning before we went to the beach. Q and she were playing on the teeter-totter. Q decided to get off and let it go. Well, let just say McKayla’s back was hurting bad. However, by the time we found out there must have been 6 golf carts in circle around her. She would not move or get up. So of course I was about to panic when Quintin sternly warn me if I was going to I could go back to the camper. Therefore, I kept my cool. We had Kevin’s neighbor look at her and after about 30 minutes so finally got up. She got her ride in the golf cart. They drive all over the place in golf carts instead of walking I really enjoyed walking around the campgrounds. However, if you’re not careful you might be run over by one. Oh and then the next day she could find her way back to camper from the playground. Thank goodness, they remember her from the day before.

Saturday we went to friend’s house and made it to the boardwalk. We love going on rides. Quintin and I fight over who is going on what rides with the kids. Not really, fight. However, I run faster then him.

It's Rodeo Time summer of 2009

We had the opportunity to take the kids to a Rodeo. It was more for McKayla. I think the boys turn out to like it more then McKayla. She said there wasn't enought horses too many bull rides. But, she decided then what she wanted for her birthday a laso. We told her we would see. It had one condition if we did get for her birthday she couldn't laso her brothers with it. It seems like we never get pictures of the older kids when we go out just of LaRae. I guess because the always are out running around and LaRae is always where we can find her with us.
